Falls from beds

On average, every week 30 people are hospitalized for an injury due to falling from a bed. Injuries to the hip and thigh in females over 70 years of age are the most common. Learn more about injuries resulting from falls from beds in October's Ontario Injury Compass The October issue of Compass is part of a series of e-reports produced by the Ontario Injury Prevention Resource Centre.
