The next session of the Canadian Falls Prevention Curriculum E-Learning course will be offered through the University of Victoria from February 24th to March 31st, 2017 with instructor, Claude Meurehg, Capacity Building, Ontario Injury Prevention Resource Centre.

About the CFPC

The Canadian Falls Prevention Curriculum (CFPC) is a facilitated, on-line course offered through the University of Victoria Continuing Studies Department. The course is an evidence-based, award-winning and evaluated curriculum providing those working with older adults the knowledge and skills needed to apply a public health approach to the prevention of falls and fall-related injuries among older adults. With the support of an expert facilitator, participants learn how to design, implement and evaluate a fall prevention program tailored to health care or community setting by working through five lessons, incorporating interactive learning, group discussion and completion of a Program Implementation Worksheet.  All participants receive a University of Victoria certificate of completion and become members of the Canadian Fall Prevention Education Collaborative.
