Session Title: Bill 118 the Countering Distracted Driving and Promoting Green Transportation Act, 2008.
Brief Overview of Presentation:
In this session, Mr. Purdy will discuss Bill 118 and Distracted Driving. Distracted driving is an important road safety issue and the Ministry of Transportation is taking action in combating this dangerous issue through Bill 118. Ms. Eubanks will provide an overview of the public education activities that will raise awareness about the new law and promote safe driving behaviour.
Learning Objectives: By the end of this session, participants will:
Have a greater understanding of Bill 118
Gain further insight into the issue of Distracted Driving
Review the public education activities that will raise awareness of Bill 118 and distracted driving.
